Italians are the descendants of the great Italics and Romans, and are still basically the same as 2 and 3 thousand years ago. But some mixtures did happen.
Italians are genetically the most gifted and amazing and blessed of all nationalities on the planet, with a sweet Italic base, and some Nordic flavors, as well as other areas...from Italic, Roman, Greek, Arabic, German, Celtic, Norman, etc...and having a number of haplogroups (same DNA characteristic groupings).
Italians have some of the same blood and genes that Norwegians, Vikings, Germans, Scots, and Welsh have. As well as Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Byzantines. That the native Italic genes absorbed. Amazing variations.
